Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology (AIT) was established in 1980 at Chikmagalur (240 km from Bangalore), with the blessings of revered Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji, pontiff, of Sri Adichunchanagiri Maha Samsthana Math. Chikmagalur city is 30 kms from the world- famous sculpture Belur Temple. The renowned temple of Sringeri Sharadamba and Sri Shankaracharya Mutt is just 100 kms away. The nearest railway station is at Kadur (40 kms away). Spread out over 65 acres of land with green surroundings and picturesque hillocks, the college has conducive atmosphere for education.
