The Government Medical College (GMC) is considered to be one of the oldest medical colleges in India which was established in 1924 by Sri Krishnarajendra Wodiyar. The college is affiliated by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and is also recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The total intake is 150 for MBBS course.

ADMISSION CRITERIA |
|
The total intake is 150 for MBBS course. Of this 85% is filled through the CET conducted by the Government of Karnataka and only residents of Karnataka are eligible. The rest 15% is All India Quota, open to any citizen of India, and is filled through the National Eligibility and Entrance Test from 2013.
